Unseen Passage :
Caste System is not merely division of labour. It is also a division of labourers.Civilised  society undoubtedly needs division of labour. But in no civilized society is division of labour accompanied by this unnatural division of labourers into water-tight compartments.Caste system is not merely a division of labourers which is quite different from division of labour-it is a hierarchy in which the divisions of labourers are graded one above the other. In no other country is the division of labour accompanied by this gradation of labourers .There is also a third point of criticism against this view of the Caste System. This division of labour is not spontaneous,it is not based on natural aptitudes.Social and individual efficiency requires us to develop the capacity of an individual to the point of competency to choose and to make his own career. This principle is violated in the Caste System in so far as it involves an attempt to appoint tasks to individuals in advance, selected not on the basis of trained original capacities, but on that of the social status of the parents.Looked at from another point of view this stratification of occupations which is the result of the Caste System is positively pernicious.Industry is never static. It undergoes rapid and abrupt changes. With such changes an individual must be free to change his occupation.Without such freedom to adjust himself to changing circumstances it would be impossible for him to gain his livelihood. Now the Caste System will not allow Hindus to take to occupations where they are wanted if they do not belong to them by heredity. If a Hindu is seen to starve rather than take to new occupations not assigned to his caste, the reason is to be found in the Caste System.By not permitting readjustment of occupations, caste becomes a direct cause of much of the unemployment we see in the country. As a form of division of labour the Caste System suffers from another serious defect. The division of labour brought about by the Caste System is not a division based on choice.Individual sentiment, individual preference has no place in it.It is based on the dogma of predestination.Considerations of social efficiency would compel us to recognize that the greatest evil in the industrial system is not so much poverty and the suffering that it involves as the fact that so many persons have calling which make no appeal to those who are engaged in them.

Explanation of answers :
16.Since ‘All men are mortal’ is A proposition which asserts something about all the members of the group, its opposite E proposition must be false and I proposition which asserts the same thing about few members of the same group must be true, that’s why option c is also true, but option d asserts something which is contradictory to the A proposition .That’s why it is false.
17.Option c is only true because if ‘some students are intelligent’ is true then in no case it is possible that no student is intelligent.Option a and b are indefinite we cannot say anything about all the students or some other students on the basis of the information available about few.
18.Deductive reasoning is based on this factor that if something is true about all the members of a group then it must be true about one member of that group.
19.Figure of any syllogism is determined by the position of the middle term. These positions are as follows:
M-P        ,P-M       ,  M-P        ,  P-M
S-M        ,S-M        ,  M-S        ,  M-S
First       second     third           fourth
Figure    figure       figure          figure

20.Mood of a syllogism depends on the quantity & quality of the premises and conclusion.e.g.
All men are mortal. A proposition
Some mortals are intelligent.I proposition
Therefore some men are intelligent. I proposition
Mood of this syllogism is A I I.
21.Since Sateesh is the father of Gauri and Priyanka is the sister of Sateesh,Gauri is related to Priyanka as niece.
22.The relation between classroom and teaching and sports and playground is that of work and workplace. So parliament is also related to debate.
23.The indicated by h is the intersection of all the three circles. That’s why it represents all the three –religious leaders, authers & saints.
24.f is the area which represents both religious leaders and authors but excludes saints because the intersection of R & A,excludes the area of saints.
25.The area indicated by e is the intersection of both R & S but excludes the circle totally represented by A.
26.The missing number is 90 because the 15 is the threefold of 5 and 45 is the threefold of 15.So the number is ascending threefold.
27.The word RAT encoded by SBU which shows that each word used in SBU is the following words of RAT.Same is the case with CAT.So,the word DOG must be encoded by EPH.
